hi, i just wanted to ask a question. what are some inconsistencies of Einstein's universe and the quantum world
lucid_dream
Einstein believed in local deterministic interactions, whereas the Copenhagen interpretation of QM allows for nonlocal probabilistic interactions. An intermediate viewpoint is offered by the Bohmian interpretation of QM, which involves nonlocal deterministic interactions.
Rick
Despite Einstein's quarrels with some interpretations of quantum mechanical models, I don't think QM directly contradicts any of Einstein's theories of special or general relativity. Regarding probability, take for example a single atom of ordinary uranium.

The atom could emit an alpha particle at any time in the future (and be transformed into a thorium atom in the process). There is no way to predict when the atom will spontaneously emit the alpha particle. It could happen in five minutes, it could happen in 5 billion years. It's purely probabilistic. Einstein had no quarrel with this fact.
