Full Version: Sleeping God
BrainMeta.com Forum > Philosophy, Truth, History, & Politics > Philosophy > What is God?
Rajesh
Once, god decides to create 'sleep' and experience it. He was careful about this experiment, as he should not fall asleep completely as nothing else can wake him up. So he decides to keep a little conscious and put the rest of the conscious in sleep, so that he does not fall asleep completely.

Now his little conscious does not want to be idle and tries to create something out of itself. It creates a soccer playground, some players and made them play soccer. Hence the little conscious is busy with the soccer game. Some part of it forms the ground, some forms the ball, and some forms the players. This means god has completely lost his self-awareness.

After enjoying the game for sometime, one of the player wonders why should the two teams keep competing with each other and what is the purpose of all this.
He attempts to understand the truth.
He understands that he is the conscious, which has assumed a role of a soccer player.
The moment his conscious dropped the role it was assuming, the god regains his self-awareness through this piece of conscious.

Back to his awareness, now the god may either decide to continue his sleep (and the soccer game) or decide to wakeup (but continue the soccer game) or decide to wakeup completely.

What will be his choice?!

what was your choice? Why choose to personify God so much? What's God to you, after all?
Rajesh
My choice is to wakeup completely.

I chose to personify God, only for the ease of phrasing the post.
Just imagine god as a pure conscious, for the purpose of this post.

Lets not get into the discussion of what is god, there are other threads for that purpose.

where is the mind in pure consciousness? Where is the will?

Which mind and what will do you speak of?
Rajesh
